Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week, and the theme this year was kindness in honour of the generosity, thoughtfulness and community-mindedness the whole world has shown during the challenges of Covid-19.

At Verve Place in Warrington, the team showed just how far a bit of kindness can go. The Project Officers baked a cupcake for every young person in the Foyer. They handed these out along with a personalised placard with a list of five fantastic qualities that the young person in question has, and some mental health leaflets too. Just look at those smiles! One young person said, “Not every day is a good day, but there’s good in every day.” We think that’s a good motto to live by.

Showing kindness is linked to better wellbeing and a happier life. You can make a start by taking our seven-day kindness journey and reflecting on how you can bring more of it into your life. We’d love to hear how you get on!
