The Room for Young People Awards celebrates young people's successes and achievements from across the youth and housing sectors. For four years, R4YP has highlighted the skills, talents and resilience of young people and the dedicated staff who work with them.

Room for Young People is held in partnership with Clarion Housing, LiveWest, InspireChilli and HAYN. It is usually held in Birmingham in November, and brings people together from youth organisations all around the country to recognise their fantastic contributions to their communities and personal triumphs.

Young people are central to the running and production of the awards – and the 2021 was the most youth-led yet. Young people from Clarion and the Foyer Federation created the award categories, organised the running of the event and were the evening's dazzling hosts. The shortlist and winners were chosen by InspireChilli's insightful Team Young People.

In the years before the pandemic, the awards was paired with a conference filled with inspiring speakers, exciting workshops and opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the sector. In 2021, an online Conversation Series was held in the month before the event to bring people together around key subjects important to young people.
