We are super excited to re-launch the Power Pioneers programme, funded by The Listening Fund and delivered in partnership with ACT BUILD CHANGE

Applications are open from 9th May and will close at 12pm 30th May! There are limited spaces available so we'd encourage young people to apply as soon as possible. Please read the information pack before applying.

Young people are full of passion, energy and an ache for issues they care about. They want to act but don't always have access to opportunities that nurture their voice or grow their knowledge and confidence. The Foyer Federation believes that being truly accountable to young people means offering direct opportunities to be meaningfully heard. We want to challenge the status quo by inspiring new ways to share power with young people in supported housing.

The Power Pioneers programme will run for six months from June to November 2023. Through immersive, practical workshops facilitated by ACT BUILD CHANGE, Power Pioneers aims to support young people to grow their knowledge in calling for change and offer a space where they can build confidence in speaking up on issues they care about. Young people will improve their sense of connection with like minded thinkers and increase their ability to put ideas into action to make change happen.

We want young people to leave the programme feeling hopeful about the future, recognising their value and feeling confident that their views matter. They will have an understanding of how to overcome barriers, leading to a greater sense of
resilience to pursue a cause, even when faced with challenges. While having moments of rest and joy along the way!

We are hosting an online drop-in on Thursday 18th 2.30pm-4pm. This is an opportunity for staff and young people to find out more about the programme and ask questions.

Are you a young person or staff member who has already achieved something in the area of change making/social action? To discuss opportunities or ask further questions contact Isabella Hart - [email protected]
