Our member-exclusive events provide an opportunity for staff to network, learn and share knowledge of working with young people experiencing homelessness.

Our events give staff an opportunity to step away from the pressures of their service for a day and take time to reflect on their practice. Each event is shaped by the needs of the network at the time and might offer a mixture of peer learning and sharing, doses of inspiration from speakers who are doing exciting things in the youth sector, time to connect with colleagues in other services, and creative workshops.

Find out more about the different events we offer through the year below, and check the events page to sign up when dates are announced.

Digital Gatherings

Kick off the new year by connecting online with fellow Community members to catch up and share your experiences and progress. It's a great way to stay up to date with the Foyer Federation's goings-on, hear about useful tools and resources, and get inspired for the year ahead.

The next scheduled Digital Gathering will be in January 2024.

Foyer Connect

Foyer Connect gives staff in direct delivery roles a chance to meet peers from other services and learn about what's happening in other Foyer services. Workshops focus on practical approaches to role-specific challenges and ways to implement Advantaged Thinking in day-to-day practice.

Register for the March 2023 Foyer Connect events on our events page.

Great Gatherings

Held in summer, the Great Gatherings are for staff in all roles and create space for ideation, innovation and aspiration. Speakers from across the youth sector share insights into their work, and attendees are encouraged to think creatively as they reflect on their practice.

Ideas Lab

Ideas Lab is a space for service/senior managers to get creative about their services using a deep-dive innovation approach. Starting with a problem statement, we thoroughly examine a common challenge and discover practical approaches in solving it. Ambitious, off-the-wall ideas are encouraged!

Investor Inspire Day

Twice a year, our Investor members join us for two days of inspiration. Senior managers visit inspiring services and organisations, hear from guest speakers who can offer fresh perspectives, and discuss what support the Foyer Federation can offer.

Inspire Days are exclusive to Investors. To find out more about becoming an Investor, member visit our membership page.

The Foyer Federation is registered in England and Wales under company number 2699839 at Work.Life, Core Building, 30 Brown Street, Manchester, M2 1DH. The charity is registered under charity number 1040482.
