We’re excited to let you know that the Foyer Federation has been selected to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2021 for the second year running!

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest match funding campaign, which last year raised more than £20 million for charities around the country during the week of 1-7 December. In 2020, we raised £4020 for our talent bond scheme, which enabled us to invest directly in the skills and talents of 12 young people who can’t live at home.

This year, we want to get that number even higher – and we need your help to do it!

Match fund donations to The Foyer Federation as part of The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2021

The Big Give Christmas Challenge launches on #GivingTuesday, 30 November, and is open for seven days. In order to be eligible to take part, we must raise £1000 in pledge funds. These make up the matching pot that doubles every donation. The Big Give’s funding Champions can also contribute to our match funding pot up to the pledge amount we receive. To reach our total campaign target, we’re aiming for £1250 in pledges (there’s a minimum of £100 per pledge).

We’re want to raise at least £5000 across the whole campaign from donations and match funding. This will enable us to invest directly in the skills and talents of 16-20 young people who can’t live at home. These talent bonds will be awarded to young people with experience of homelessness to provide the financial backing they need to grow their strengths and talents, and could be used for specialist course fees, equipment such as a camera or art supplies, or for a young entrepreneur to get their business idea off the ground.

How to get involved:

  • If you would like to make a pledge donation, please contact [email protected] to let us know and we’ll share more information with you.
  • During the week of donations 30 November to 7 December, keep an eye out for our posts on social media and signal boost by sharing them with your network. This makes a BIG difference!
  • If you can donate during the campaign week, every penny is DOUBLED and has twice the impact for young people!
