This week, employability experts from the Mitie Foundation have shared their experience and knowledge with young people from our member Foyers as part of a week-long programme focused on building work-related skills.

The programme enabled young people to explore subjects including customer service, the recruitment process, CV-writing and interview techniques, as well as delving into the world of facilities management and the many different roles available.

10 young people from five services attended the sessions and asked fantastic questions. The programme culminated in mock interviews with members of the Mitie team on Friday, and those who attended will receive a level 1 certificate in Employability.

This programme a fantastic way for young people to learn valuable skills, make new connections with professionals, try out interviewing in a low-pressure setting and get helpful, honest feedback. Thank you to the Mitie team for making it possible!
