In April three Foyers – Wiltshire (Alabare), Worthing (YMCA DLG) and Ludlow (Connexus) – took their first steps towards achieving accreditation through our FOR Youth programme. The Foyers were reviewed by our Panel in April and are now joining our community of quality Foyers on their way towards becoming accredited services. By joining the FOR Youth accreditation, these Foyers are committing to providing top-tier supported housing services for young people, and we’re looking forward to working with them throughout their journey!

Highlights from the panel:

Wiltshire Foyer, Alabare Christian Care and Support: The Panel were pleased with Wiltshire Foyer's accomplishments and congratulated them for embedding coaching into their services. They decided that enough progress had been made for an endorsement at the Developing level both operationally and strategically.

Worthing Foyer, YMCA Downslink Group: The Panel recognised Worthing Foyer’s work to introduce a new Quality Development Plan (QDP), the performance around eviction and employment, and the renewed commitment from YMCA Downslink Group to the FOR Youth Accreditation.

Ludlow Foyer, Connexus Homes: The Panel recognised the progress achieved since the last report, and were pleased with the new outdoors forest skills learning programme put in place.

Over the next 12 months we’ll be working closely with each of the three Foyers to support their learning and development journey towards certification. It's inspiring to see the Foyers showing commitment to delivering quality services and dedication to empower young people to thrive. We warmly welcome them aboard and look forward to working with them on their exciting journey ahead!
