Kevin Smith, Ex Head of Network Services, launches Interface Development and Training
04/02/2010
Kevin Smith, ex-Head of Network Services for the Foyer Federation, continues his role developing good practice and effective service delivery as a freelance consultant, while remaining an Associate of the Federation.
He says, "The new strategic direction of the Foyer Federation creates opportunities for different kinds of relationships in the network and a greater variety of enterprise at all levels".
Kevin's experience as part of senior management at the Federation provides him with an insight into the latest developments, and he is conversant with changes in the accreditation system, the ‘Asset Framework', coaching skills and support planning, plus the new QAF, among other aspects relevant to the world of foyers and beyond.
"My new venture - Interface Development and Training - aims to strengthen the relationship between policy changes and funding, and the way services are modelled and work with clients defined. I'm particularly interested in how to make outcomes-related measures of performance relevant to operational management".
To date Kevin has already assisted a YMCA as part of a local authority re-tender, advised a local partnership developing a new service and trained staff in aspects of key-work and support plans in line with new QAF standards.
