MyNav

Navigating the journey to independent adulthood

Inspired by the concepts of satellite navigation and future mapping, MyNav helps young people to navigate their journey to independent adulthood through the power of informal learning and new media technology.  MyNav provides a practical and digital framework to help young people map out their lives and shape the best possible route towards a thriving future.

The MyNav project is funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) as part of the Government's Learning Revolution Transformation Fund.  Delivered in partnership with five Foyers, MyNav applies a 'Sat Nav' approach, fusing informal learning and new media technology to create a powerful model that challenges the way the public and third sectors support the transition into independent adulthood for those most at risk.

Destination Independence

In March 2010, the Foyer Federation published an introduction to MyNav, highlighting the project's focuses and the journey so far.  To download a copy of the publication, please click here.

To mark the beginning of the year, the Foyer Federation released a MyNav calendar.  Download the calendar here to make 2010 the beginning of a lifetime of informal learning achievements!
